During a CNBC appearance that aired on September 17, Kim Forrest weighed in on Microsoft’s quarterly dividend boost after the company announced its $40 billion share buyback program. “This news is certainly investor-friendly and dividend increases are the ultimate in repaying shareholders. Besides that, the announcement also says that Microsoft is confident that it can meet a higher level, so it’s a step in the right direction,” she offered. To determine Microsoft’s long term growth potential, Kim explained that investors should keep an eye on further company news – such as strategic plans to be highlighted at an upcoming analyst meeting, and whether a new CEO will join the company.
