CNBC: Fed concerns, tax policy, and black swans

I recently appeared on CNBC “Trading Nation” to share my market forecast as we continue into the new year. A possible concern for investors may be if the Federal Reserve raises interest rates too quickly. However, I offered that the transition of power from Janet Yellen to Jerome Powell seems to be happening smoothly and that he’s on board with slowly increasing interest rates.

In addition, the new tax policy will strengthen technology stocks because it supports businesses expensing new technology and expenditures. And lastly, it seems as though the ‘black swan’ of the year will be politics. Since it’s out of our control, investors shouldn’t be concerned with or attempt to predict what will happen.
