Mike Blehar – Principal and Financial Consultant

"There’s never a fork in the road – the choice always is to do what’s in the client’s best interest."

Mike Blehar has made a career out of following that dictum.

"My main role is to dispense solid advice on portfolio management, estate planning, retirement planning and education funding. But the questions can also lead to advising on whether to buy or lease a car or how to purchase a vacation home." he says.

"And many times client relationships become friendships because they know they are with someone who cares about their well-being."

Mike concentrates on portfolio design and financial planning for his clients, meeting with them regularly to review their investment progress. He serves on the Fort Pitt Capital Group’s Investment Policy Committee, as well as the firm’s Board of Directors. His career in financial services began in 1988 as a stockbroker in Philadelphia, and has included leadership roles with a Pittsburgh-area investment firm prior to Mike’s joining Fort Pitt Capital Group in 1995.

The Penn State graduate lives in suburban Pittsburgh with his wife, Beth, and their three children. He is a member of the Penn State Alumni Association, Trout Unlimited, the Financial Planning Association and is on the board of directors of the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Mt. Lebanon Community Endowment.
