Ted Bovard – Principal and Financial Consultant

When your client’s kids think of you as part of the family, you know you’re doing something right as a trusted advisor. Just ask Ted Bovard.

“I’ve had children of my clients kid me, telling me that I’m the first guy their parents call when there’s a financial decision to be made,” he says.

“There’s a certain level of engagement required. It’s getting into my client’s lives, understanding the goals they have for their families, then telling them what they need to hear.”

Ted has been doing just that for Fort Pitt Capital Group clients since joining the firm in 1995. His career in financial advising began in 1987 with another regional investment firm. Today, he serves on the Fort Pitt Capital Group’s Investment Policy Committee and Secretary of the Board of Directors .

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and lives in Zelienople, PA, with his wife, Kristin, and their three children. Ted is a member of the Financial Planning Association.
