As buyers of companies — and not stock pickers — we keep a close eye on earnings. Unsurprisingly, it’s been flat with some hits and misses so far this year. This leads investors to be “treading water” in the current choppy market environment.
However, there is always opportunity for value investors. Companies are constantly reinventing themselves and there’s always an unloved sector. Two sectors we are looking at as opportunities for value are consumer discretionary and technology.
