Emily Sippel Employee Spotlight

Emily Sippel

Emily Sippel is the newest employee at Fort Pitt Capital Group. She had the unique experience of joining the firm as a Service Advisor while our team was working remotely. We caught up with her to learn more about her job, interests, and pet rabbit. Check out our Q&A with Emily below!

What brought you to Fort Pitt?

I grew up in the Pittsburgh area, but I spent the past seven years living and working in New York. I wanted to return to be closer to my family and found Fort Pitt through LinkedIn. When I met with the team, everything clicked for me immediately, and the company really felt like home. The job completely aligned with the career path I had been envisioning for myself as well.

What are your day to day responsibilities?

It’s an interesting role because it’s a hybrid between Client Relationship Specialist and an Advisor. I’m the first one at Fort Pitt to have this role. While learning all the client service aspects, I’m also working with advisors to meet with clients. This allows me to gain a better understanding of allocations and investments. The goal is to one day take the reins myself as an advisor.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

I love people and I love human interaction, so being with the clients and getting to know them is my favorite part. I believe that finances, health, and education are the most critical aspects of their lives, so my work makes a tremendous impact. I love that I’m able to help with something so important.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love to go for morning walks. I walk five miles every morning with my mom, and that provides us meaningful time together. I also love hot yoga, both the workout and the community.

Do you have any pets?

I couldn’t have a dog in my previous apartment in New York. I really wanted a pet so I got a rabbit named Isabelle. My little sister has Isabelle’s brother, and now that I’m back home, in Pittsburgh, we’re able to get them together. They are very happy whenever they get to hang out with each other.
