Kate champions the talent management programs at Fort Pitt. Through the creation of robust talent acquisition, onboarding, and performance management programs, Kate helps Fort Pitt hire, train, and retain a high-performing workforce. Also, as the resident Predictive Index guru, Kate uses the PI platform to boost engagement across the firm by helping each team member build self-awareness and improve interpersonal relationships. Additionally, Kate is responsible for ensuring Fort Pitt remains compliant with all federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to human resources matters and the employment process.
Kate has worked in Human Resources for more than a decade. She began her HR career with a Pittsburgh-based health care provider and insurer. During her time in the healthcare industry, Kate learned the ins-and-outs of employee relations, recruitment, leave management, compensation, benefits administration, and labor relations. Before joining Fort Pitt, Kate worked for a local architecture and engineering firm as their Director of Organizational Development. In that role, she functioned as a strategic partner, employee advocate, and change agent. Kate earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation in 2010 and her SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation in 2015.

Kate is a voracious reader, often reading several books at the same time. She loves watching NFL games, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and playing fantasy football. Most weekends you can find Kate relaxing on her covered porch, listening to music, and laughing with her family and friends.
